when i was 19 i lost my mind. i was diagnosed with bipolar type 1 (the kind with manic delusional psychosis and suicidal depression and both at the same time) and spent some time in inpatient trying to lie my way out and learning to act normal. it was really weird. they put me on meds and eventually i believed something

fast forward to ~15 years later, i decide to go off my meds and see what i'm really about. years pass during this time, and i do fine. job, being a dad, health (except cigarettes ofc), it's all going well enough, burning bridges notwithstanding. i realize it doesn't really matter and decide to go back on my meds as insurance against a nastier mood, at least until my son can take care of himself. i accidentally admitted myself into inpatient in the process, whoops. but all's well that ends well.

it was a rad time, i love being bipolar, both the highs and the lows, i think it's what makes me awesome instead of boring and normal. during that time i wrote some songs and over the past couple of months, i've put them into "official s. hero" form. they're about depression, drug abuse, eating disorders, mania, and delusional psychosis, all the things one might end up in a mental hospital for. i don't have most of those problems, but over the years i've either dealt with them first hand or known people who have. so that's where that comes from, i don't drink or do drugs and am in good health so no need to worry about that kind of thing.

i can't think of anything else that i wanted to say about this, i'm just kind of tired of working on it and tbh it's kind of 80% done but like everything else in my life, i started working on it with an intensity and now i don't care anymore just like i don't care about this email i just want it to be over. i think i'm the king midas of nihilism, everything i touch loses importance idc iddc idc

oh wait my facebook page too, please like it if you want or don't, nothing really happens there because i'm convinced facebook is poison for the soul
